I may be a little out of order here as i just wanted to update my blog . so here we are
Colour Fundamentals
For this task I had to use Illustrator to recreate the colours on a blank colour wheel. Here is my finished colour wheel
I was also asked to create a collage using numbers and colours but following a particular colour scheme of my choice. I chose to use a triadic colour scheme. This scheme is derived from hues that come from choosing 3 colours from the colour wheel that are equal distance away from each other on the colour wheel. My chosen colours were blue, red and green yellow. I picked hues of these colours to create the following image
Learning Activity 03 Positive and Negative Form
For this exercise I had to choose 3 examples from a list of subjects to create 2 images for each example of negative space. I chose to use Photoshop to create my examples and used a pen tablet to create them. Here are my examples
Then I had to find 4 examples of where whitespace has been used in the media. Here is my Word document containing my examples
LEARNING ACTIVITY 02 Black Square
For this Assessment we had to use 4 black squares to show the meaning for various design principles. Here are my examples. I produced this work in Photoshop
For the second part of this assessment we had to find examples of each of the six categories in a magazine or other form of media. Here are the examples that I found
Order
This is a CD cover and it is set out in a very ordered 2 columned grid
Increase
The text on this magazine cover increases from the bottom of the page to the top and also increases in text size
Bold
I used a hardware box to show where the emphasis is on the product name and it is highlighted in a very bright colour to make it even more bold
Congested
As the title suggests, there is way too much crammed onto this magazine advertisement
Tension
The tension point on this CD cover is on the lower left hand side where the pattern bleeds off the page
Playful
The text on this advertisement is very playful and mirrors the Title on the first page
A little picture fun
Here are some pictograms for those doing their OH&S assessment tasks and creating safety signs. See how many you can guess because we certainly can’t get them all

Design Learning activity 1 My name is…

Here are my answers to the Internet Assessment Task questions
Industry – Learning Activity 1 and 2
We had to read some articles and discuss what we had read about in relation to searching the internet and email etiquette. Here are my answers
Learning activity 1 Prepress research
For this task we were asked to watch a video and then answer some questions relating to it. We were then asked to compare 2 types of printing process, create a word search from some words that we were given. We were then asked to find 6 pieces of printed material and we were asked to outline the printing process for each one. I found this to be quite difficult as I have no previous experience with this kind of thing. Lastly we had to research words related to the printing industry and create a glossary. Here is my work
